Preparation grades of SS 05 59 2000:

Sa 1st Light blasting

Sa 2. Careful blasting

When viewed without magnification, the steel surface be free of visible oil, grease, dirt, and from poorly adhering mill scale, rust, paint and other contaminants. Any residual contamination shall be firmly seated.

Sa 2 ½. Very thorough blast cleaning

When viewed without föstoring the steel surface be free of visible oil, grease, dirt, and from mill scale, rust, paint and other contaminants. The remaining traces of contaminants may be apparent only as slight discoloration in the form of spots or stripes.

Said third Blasting to clean metal

When viewed without magnification, the steel surface be free of visible oil, grease, dirt, and from mill scale, rust, paint and other contaminants. The steel surface should have a uniform metallic color.
